I’ve been listening to a lot of preaching on YouTube lately, mostly from Paul Washer.  The Lord has used his preaching to crystallize my understanding of some issues plaguing the church (and me).  The Gospel being presented by many today is such an abbreviated form that many people who think they are saved are not.  Its like one old preacher said, they have been vaccinated against the Gospel by being exposed to a weak, diluted form.  Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” (John 10:27)  What’s the reason many so called Christians and church members are unconcerned about following Him? –not his sheep! You can’t make a sheep out of a goat by discipleship programs, rule keeping, guilt trips, or mission trips.  Only God brings repentance and new birth through the Gospel.
