The Blessings: Rescued and Forgiven, Part 1 – Ephesians 1:7-10
Redemption is a beautiful thing. The Bible is God’s Story of Redemption. Redemption means to let go free for a ransom. It is the recalling of captive sinners from the captivity of sin through the payment of a ransom for them. In this sermon we go all the way back to the book of Exodus where we see God redeeming His people from their cruel slavery to the Egyptians. This monumental Old Testament event points to the greater spiritual redemption that we experience because of Jesus’ blood being given as the ransom price for our freedom from the captivity to sin.
